The 3M Cubitron II Cut-Off Wheel features 3M Precision Shaped Ceramic Grain. This makes the wheel particularly fast cutting and long-life, for use on all metals. Our cut-off wheels surpass other wheels in terms of performance and durability. As a result, they significantly increase productivity.
Use the 3M Cubitron II Cut-off Wheel for extra sharp, fast cutting action and a much longer lifetime than other wheels. Our cut-off wheels are mainly used for cutting metal, such as sheet metal from cars or ships, stainless steel pipes, exhausts, clamps and rusted fasteners. These discs contain 3M Precision Shaped Grain, abrasive grains that cut through metal like triangular points, instead of grooving or gouging like traditional abrasives. These points constantly sharpen themselves as small pieces break off each time. This produces an exceptionally fast cutting action. Less heat is generated by friction, resulting in less heat-related stress cracking and discolouration. Cubitron II products last significantly longer than their conventional ceramic counterparts and deliver high performance in production applications. Cut-off wheels are attached to a special cut-off wheel tool (sold separately) and should always be used with a protective hood for safety. The maximum operating speed of the wheels must be higher than or equal to the maximum speed of the power tool. In addition, a disc guard that matches the size of the cut-off wheel must be used.
